Finito's complete Studio workspace in Dark mode: the waveform, compact processing navigation, confidence-aware Smart recommendations, Reference and Versions, and the persistent Compare rail
Features

A focused mastering workspace

Smart decisions, transparent controls, and exactly the right amount of detail when you need it.

01 / 07
Direction

AI-assisted direction, not a generic preset.

Smart Analysis combines measured tone, dynamics, stereo, and loudness with local genre and intent profiling to build a complete first pass you can refine by ear.

  • Two on-device music-context models strengthen broad genre and intent profiling while your audio stays on your Mac
  • Four recommended settings — Tone, Stereo, Dynamics, and Loudness with input — not a fifth squeezed tile
  • A predictable CD / Loud baseline, with every quieter or louder delivery target still one click away
  • Confidence-aware recommendations show when the evidence is High, Moderate, or Exploratory
  • Set Smart Boundaries and optional context, then save versions or return to the analyzed settings
Finito: Smart Analysis
Finito's refreshed Direction panel in Dark mode: Transparent, Balanced and Competitive intent, confidence-aware genre context, Recheck Analysis, Boundaries, Context, four recommendation cards, and compact Reference and Versions controls
02 / 07
Tone

See and shape every frequency decision.

Refine tonal balance with a mastering-grade parametric EQ and a fluid live spectrum that makes every move easy to understand.

  • High-resolution EQ with precise bands, musical slopes, and independent band routing
  • Pre, Post, and Both spectrum views, with the analyzer available on demand
  • Minimum, Linear, and Mixed phase options for the right trade-off
  • Real-time response with section-level Smart Analysis recall
Finito: Tonal EQ
Finito's complete Tone panel in Dark mode: full EQ curve, analyzer controls, six routed band nodes, selected-band controls, high-pass and low-pass filters, and all six Dynamic EQ bands without cropping
03 / 07
Stereo

Put width exactly where the music needs it.

See the post-master stereo field by frequency, then shape the Low, Low-Mid, High-Mid, and High bands independently with confidence.

  • Four live band-image fields: low, low-mid, high-mid, and high
  • A particle cloud, not a scribble: brightness is density, and a quiet band stays a small cloud
  • On/Bypassed in the Stereo Image header, matching Tone and Loudness. WIDTH and CORR read — until playback; 0.0 is a measured zero
  • Each field filtered at 24 dB per octave, so a band shows its own range and little else
Finito: Stereo Image
Finito's complete Stereo Image card in Dark mode: four live band fields with L/R, vectorscope and correlation views, plus every Band Width control and Mono Bass
04 / 07
Character

Polish the mix without losing its identity.

Clean up technical problems and soften glare with controls designed for restrained mastering moves, and see exactly where they are working.

  • De-Rumble, De-Mud, De-Ess, De-Spike, and De-Harsh cleanup
  • Smoothness watches 24 bands and draws every one, so you can see which frequency is being held down
  • Click a bar to solo that band. Cuts is its own tab: Analyze proposes fixed notches for resonances that never go away, and nothing is applied until you press Cut
Finito: Character
Finito's refreshed Character panel in Dark mode: centered Cleanup, Smoothness, Cuts and Air tabs with every cleanup control visible
05 / 07
Color

Bring in analog character without losing the master.

Choose a single-band or multiband saturation path, then layer subtle analog depth independently for density, weight, dimension, and motion.

  • Tape, Tube, Transformer, Warm, and Hot harmonic modes
  • 2× Drive and Delta monitoring for confident, level-aware decisions
  • Independent Analog Depth with its own bypass and real-time meters
Finito: Color
Finito's complete Color panel in Dark mode: Single Band and Multiband selection, five saturation characters, Density, 2x Drive, Delta, and the full independently bypassable Analog Depth section
06 / 07
Dynamics

Control movement without crushing the mix.

Choose the compressor behavior that fits the music, then shape attack and body independently. Compression shows gain reduction; Impact shows live envelope gain.

  • Punchy VCA-style impact or smooth Glue bus compression
  • Dedicated compression amount and live gain-reduction feedback
  • Per-band attack and sustain, with a live ±6 dB gain meter under each Impact band
Finito: Dynamics
Finito's refreshed Dynamics panel in Dark mode: centered Low-End, Compression and Impact tabs, two compression stages, behavior controls and live gain-reduction metering
07 / 07
Loudness

Deliver at the right level with confidence.

Choose the destination, control the final limiter, and check the real delivery path so the exported master matches what you hear.

  • Targets for streaming, video, CD, club playback, and ultra-loud masters
  • Limiter drive, release behavior, output peak, PLR/PSR, and safety controls
  • Codec Preview, loudness history, and delivery-ready export
Finito: Loudness
Finito's complete Loudness workspace in Dark mode: every delivery target, final output, limiter architecture, drive, release, True Peak Lock, Release Check and Delivery Check
Stem mastering

Master from stems, not just a bounce.

Drop two to twelve submixes and Finito sums them into one session. The master chain treats that sum as a single piece of audio, while every stem keeps its own trim, EQ, compressor and repair tools underneath.

  • 2 to 12 stems summed and mastered as one, with add, replace, remove and rename
  • Named sessions reopen with every stem, trim, EQ and repair intact
Finito's complete Stems panel in Dark mode: five stem rows with peak, mute, solo, live meter, trim and editor controls, plus sample rate, length, summed peak and frequency contribution readouts

Every stem keeps its own chain.

Open a stem and it has a full processing strip of its own — EQ with a live analyzer, compression with its own gain-reduction meter, a resonance suppressor, saturation, and repair. Mute and solo affect monitoring only, so the exported master always contains every stem.

A complete expanded stem editor in Dark mode with centered EQ, Compression, Resonance, Saturation and Repair tabs, analyzer control, five EQ nodes and both filters
Restoration

Repair the source before mastering it.

Work on a selected passage or the whole track with an explicit scope, live preview, and level-matched auditioning. The refreshed Restoration workspace keeps every tool visible without burying the waveform.

  • Restore, Artifacts, Uncompress, and Diagnose in one centered workflow
  • De-click, De-crackle, De-hum, De-clip, De-noise, De-Warble, and Transient Reconstruction
Finito's complete Restoration workspace in Dark mode with waveform and spectrogram controls, centered Restore, Artifacts, Uncompress and Diagnose tabs, five restoration tools, preview buttons and explicit Selection or Whole Track scope
Album mastering

Make the release feel like one record.

Analyze a sequence together, preserve intentional level differences, and use Smart Album Cohesion to align tone, stereo, and dynamics around a chosen or automatically selected anchor track.

  • Per-track Smart Analysis, Smart Album Cohesion, or your current settings
  • Album-relative loudness, metadata, sequencing, trims, fades, and retryable delivery
Finito's Album and Batch Master window in Dark mode with three queued tracks, album metadata, processing strategy, album-relative loudness, CD Loud delivery target and Analyze Album action
Workflow

From rough mix to finished master

Four steps, one window. No bouncing between apps.

1

Load

Load WAV, AIFF, FLAC, MP3, or M4A. Finito asks whether to run Smart Analysis or start neutral, the same question for one track or a set of stems. Drop 2 to 12 files at once to master from stems.

2

Restore

Map recurring artifacts, target the strongest measured passage, stabilize pitch drift with De-Warble, restore softened attacks, or open a squashed mix back up with Uncompress.

3

Shape & compare

Fine-tune EQ, per-band stereo, character, dynamics, loudness, fades, and trims, then A/B from the persistent Compare rail without scrolling back.

4

Deliver

Preview codecs, choose sample rate and metadata, then export one master or analyze, sequence, and master an entire release as one project.

Mastering

  • Parametric EQ with live pre/post spectrum feedback
  • Predictable Smart loudness at CD / Loud (−9 LUFS), with quieter streaming and louder Club / Ultra targets available afterward
  • True-peak safety and mastering-focused loudness control
  • Four-band Stereo Image with Lissajous particle fields, L/R and correlation rails, and Mono / Mid / Side monitoring
  • Color with a live Density meter, Multiband per-band glow, and per-band 2× Drive
  • Analog Depth after Color, with Modern, Console, Tape and Vintage presentations and separate depth, weight, dimension and motion
  • Classic and Adaptive limiters with drive, release character and True Peak Lock for inter-sample safety
  • Dynamics in three passes: two compression stages, Impact for transient shape, and a dedicated Low-End leveler
  • Character tools including Smoothness, Cuts, Air, De-Mud, De-Ess, De-Spike, and De-Harsh

Stems

  • 2 to 12 stems summed and mastered as one, with add, replace, remove, and rename
  • Per-stem EQ with its own live spectrum, and per-stem compression with its own gain-reduction meter
  • Eight per-stem repair tools: click, crackle, plosive, hum, clip, noise, sibilance, and room
  • Live preview that re-renders as you move a control, with Repaired / Original / Removed monitoring
  • Mute and solo for monitoring only, so the exported master always contains every stem
  • A live level meter on every stem row, after its trim, EQ and compressor
  • A resonance suppressor per stem, taming rings and boxiness without dulling the source
  • Named sessions that save and reopen with every stem, trim, EQ and repair intact

Restore

  • Focused Repair with draggable regions and a detailed spectrogram
  • Artifact Repair maps pitch flutter, softened transients, moving resonances, unstable stereo, granular texture, and clipping across the track
  • De-Warble stabilizes coherent pitch drift with expression preservation, stereo-linked correction, Preview, and Delta audition
  • Transient Reconstruction restores short attack detail with frequency focus and a strict maximum-lift guard
  • Explicit repair scope always shows Selection or Whole Track; recommendations target the strongest reliable passage and clearly announce a Whole Track fallback when needed
  • Focused repair tools for clicks, crackle, hum, clipping, and broadband noise
  • Uncompress to restore the level contrast between sections on a mix that arrived over-compressed
  • Source check for bandwidth, clipping and true peak, plus polarity and L/R timing faults that width controls cannot fix
  • Audition safely with a level-matched Original / Repaired comparison before committing

Monitoring

  • Headphone Reference that plays the master through a measured speaker room, so decisions made on headphones survive on speakers
  • Speaker presentation from Close to Reference to Wide, with Direct, Natural and Ambient room balance and a Club setting for long late fields
  • Per-model calibration from a headphone profile catalogue, with Gain Match so the comparison is level-honest and a monitor peak readout
  • Reference tracks and Versions for gain-matched A/B against a finished song or your own earlier passes
  • Mono, Mid and Side auditioning alongside the live four-band stereo field

Delivery

  • Release checks before you export: true peak, loudness, mono compatibility, limiter stress and low-end width
  • Codec Preview to hear AAC or MP3 delivery before export
  • Flexible output with delivery sample rates, metadata, WAV, FLAC, MP3, AAC, and ZIP packages
  • Album / Batch Master with Analyze → Review → Master preflight, the same CD / Loud default, per-track or album-relative loudness, and retryable renders
  • Smart Album Cohesion with automatic or chosen anchor tracks and bounded tonal, stereo, and dynamics alignment
  • Per-track sequence editing with nondestructive trims, fade shapes, and boundary previews before album rendering

Workflow

  • Session recall with saved settings, fades, trims, repair work, and export choices
  • Appearance follows Dark, Light, or System. Reduce Motion replaces scale and slide with a short fade; Increased Contrast thickens chip rims so state is not fill colour alone
  • Persistent Compare rail keeps Original, Mastered, Reference, versions, Gain Match, Mono, and Headphones in reach while you work any processor
  • Loudness history with LUFS, PLR, and PSR context for every master
